A very productive fly for fishing lakes, the Black Sexton’s Booby floats off the bottom and over the weeds when fished on a full sinking line. Booby style flies have become very popular in the Pacific Northwest and Canada because of their effectiveness in trout lakes. Sexton’s Booby is a great fly just about any time, but can be especially effective when dragonfly nymphs are active and zipping around in spring and summer.
