Dave’s Hopper Dry Fly

The classic hopper. Something about this fly just makes it GET BIT. Even selective pressured trout fall for this fly. A good tip is that trout will eat this fly after it sinks extremely well! Our guides love to fish it soggy, even behind another fly or a tiny New Zealand style strike indicator. On a hot day in August there are few terrestrial patterns better than this.
