Euro nymphing is fun, effective, and a great way to target selective trout on public water. It’s important to have the right mix of nymphs for both pattern and weight. When we choose a Deadly Dozen we mix flies of varying weight to help the angler achieve the right presentation.

THE BEST MIX OF EURO NYMPHING FLIES

Nearly all of the flies we include in these Deadly Dozens are jighead style hooks with tungsten beads. It’s nice to have a few lighter flies to fish just off the bottom, but contact with the bottom is critical for your anchor or contact fly.
